Turbo Sigh of the Week: Timberland and JT.
SURPRISE!: I don't like being compared to IHOP. Shocker, I know.
So Timbaland and Justin Timberlake have this new song out called "Carry out" where they basically compare women to drive through fast food places. Talk about your turbo sigh. The idea of the song, and the main line from the chorus?
"Take my order; cause your body like a carry out.
Let me walk it to your body til you hear me out
Turn me on, my baby don't you cut me out."
Because apparently women are there to be "ordered" and their bodies are like "carry-out."
Here are some of the other particularly offensive lyrics:
"Baby, you looking fire hot. I have you open all night like you IHop"
I'll have you open all night like IHOP?!?!?!?
Fuck you. You will have nothing. Because you are gross.
Just because these guys aren't wearing Ed Hardy doesn't mean that they aren't complete tools.
WOmanifesto: I cannot be "ordered"... and I ESPECIALLY will not be taking YOUR order.
My body is not like a "carry out." My body will not be compared with anything you can consume, eat, or order.
Call me over-dramatic all you want, but being compared to a "drive-through" or an IHOP is completely offensive to me.
And even beyond the lyrics, the music video is allll kinds of wrong. They really take the 'drive-through', 'take my order', 'fast food' women degrading bullshit up a notch with that one.
If the lyrics were more intelligent than comparing women's vagina's to an "Open all night IHOP" I might not be so pissed off. This song is so ridiculous I couldn't even write shit this offensive if I tried.
